With the countdown well and truly underway for Masters of Motoring 2024 presented by Footman James - the two-day event being staged on 1st and 2nd of June at two major Wiltshire venues, Saturday at Castle Combe Race Circuit and Sunday at nearby Bowood House & Gardens – the organisers are delighted to announce several new attractions to this year’s motoring jamboree.
McEntee (www.mcenteeracing.com ) is a name that is likely to grab the attention of high-performance and motorsport enthusiasts moving forward. The company designs and builds race and track cars which aim to push sustainable motorsport into new territories. With a Formula One pedigree, in terms of its design team, McEntee aims to offer its customers turn-key options to race with alternative fuel cars and already has both single seater and sports car designs. McEntee will be at Masters of Motoring with visitors able to view its single seater car concept, which has the options of coming as an Electric Vehicle, a Hydrogen Powered car, or with a conventional engine running on sustainable fuel. The pretty car looks like it would be a really purposeful option in speed events – Hillclimbs and Sprints – and is certainly worth a close look.
For Motorbike enthusiasts attending Masters of Motoring, there will now be the added attraction of Triple C Motorcycles being present at the event. Based just outside Witney in Oxfordshire. Triple C (www.cccmotorcycles.com) is a one-stop shop for lovers of motorbikes of all kinds, whether that be Japanese, Italian, American or British. The company sells, services, and prepares both road bikes and custom machines – modern and classic – as well as offering bike accessories and all-important Motorbike security systems. Triple C’s staff will be available to help, advise and even sell to Masters visitors.
One of the prettiest cars at the Masters weekend is likely to be the Caton, which is being brought to the event by the Casmin Group. Casmin (www.casmingroup.com ) represents various specialist luxury car brands and the Caton (pictured, top), which is available exclusively through Casmin, is a modern re-imagining of the legendary Austin-Healy 100/4. Though visually similar, Caton isn’t looking to improve the original car, but much more to bring to life what a modern-day version of the Healey would be like, with the benefits of current technology. The end product is a car with every bit of the style that made the 100/4 so beloved, but, with double the horsepower of the original car and a modern adaptation of its suspension set-up, as well as uprated brakes, it drives better, faster, and more comfortably and stops quicker than an original Healey 100/4.
Visitors to Bowood on Masters Sunday will also benefit from a fantastic offer from Petrolhead Art. Car lover and artist, Rob Paston is the man behind the company (www.petrolheadart.com ) and he will shoot an image of a vehicle against an everyday background and then transport it into a completely different setting, that can either be somewhere of special significance to the car owner or a particular place that suits the car. Rob will be at Bowood throughout the Sunday and will waive his usual charge for both the shooting of any visitor’s car or bike and the moving of it onto the background of the owner’s choice. The finished product will then be available for purchase, if desired.
Supercars are one of the key focal points of the event and their numbers continue to increase. Their owners could well be customers for Bradford on Avon-based Five Zeros (www.fivezeros.co.uk ) which not only offers a bespoke Supercar storage service but is also rapidly becoming a go-to venue for Supercar owners and enthusiasts alike, with its Supercar Diner being open to the public from Wednesday through to Sunday.
Masters of Motoring presented by Footman James is a two-day lifestyle motoring event over the weekend of June 1st and 2nd 2024. With its mix of track acton at Castle Combe, and Concours at Bowood House & Gardens, Masters of Motoring is rapdily evolving as one of the key Supercar Events of the year.
The Saturday is a track-based action day staged at Wiltshire’s Castle Combe Race Circuit. It is set to feature a large and exciting selection of historic race and rally cars, classic and supercars. This will be followed by a VIP Concours-style event on Sunday at nearby Bowood House & Gardens. The impressive Wiltshire estate, with its spectacular stately home and beautiful gardens will form a wonderful backdrop to Masters’ classic and modern exotica, as well as marque and car anniversary displays. The weekend will also feature a selection of social events for both participants and visitors.
Masters reciprocal deal with Bowood House & Gardens will mean that. Visitors to this year’s event will receive a 10% discount to Bowood House & Gardens set within 1000 acres of beautifully landscaped ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland surrounding the Georgian House.
There is something for everyone including the children who will be thrilled with the adrenaline-fuelled Adventure Playground featuring a life-size pirate ship. The discount also applies to the Woodland Gardens – a separate attraction only open for six weeks showcasing an oasis of azaleas, magnolias and rhododendrons. Visitors to Bowood House & Gardens will also receive the same discount if they transfer over to Masters of Motoring from the beautiful stately home or its grounds.
