Exol Lubricants and its distributor Chemodex will continue to sponsor Taylors Trucksport Racing as the team competes for the first time in the European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) in 2023.

Taylors Trucksport Racing is headed up by veteran driver, and fleet engineer, Mark Taylor, who is stepping up following five successful seasons in the British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) to the European series.

Exol Lubricants’ high-end transmission, hydraulic, gearbox and steering oil and lubricants feature on board Taylor’s racing truck, keeping the vehicle’s key components working at high performance.

Mark Taylor, driver at Taylors Trucksport Racing, said: “The 2022 BTRC season offered plenty of ups and downs, but we continued to make solid progress throughout the year to ultimately finish fifth in the championship.

“Moving to the European series this year offers us a brand-new challenge, racing with drivers in the top flight of truck racing in longer, more demanding races. I’m really looking forward to getting out there, learning from the rest of the field and working our way to the front again.”

The team will head to the Most circuit in the Czech Republic in mid-April for their first pre-season test in their all-new MAN truck, built to exacting high performance standards for the new championship, before the first race of the season at Misano, Italy, in May.

Steve Dunn, sales and marketing director at Exol Lubricants, said: “It’s been great to see Taylors enjoy success in the British Truck Racing Championship over the last five seasons, so it’s even more exciting to see them progress and take to the grid for their first European championship season.

“It’s testament to the hard work the team has put in, and the mechanical capability and reliability of the machinery beneath them, all underpinned by Exol’s high-end lubricant performance.”

The 2023 ETRC gets underway at the Misano circuit in Italy from 20th-21st May, with following rounds at the Slovakia Ring from 10th-11th June, Poznan in Poland from 24th-25th June, the legendary Nurburgring circuit in Germany from 15th-16th July, Most from 26th-27th August, Zolder in Belgium from 9th-10th September, Le Mans in France from 23rd-24th September, with the season finale at Spain’s Jarama circuit from 30th September-1st October.
