HELLA staff take on charity Christmas jumper challenge to support Ben

HELLA’s UK team is getting into the festive spirit by putting on seasonal knitwear to support the annual Ben Christmas Jumper Day charity event today (Friday 13th December), and to make the Yuletide magic last longer and go further, the company has been running an internal competition to take the best Christmas jumper selfie.

Staff at HELLA have been asked to take a photograph of themselves in their Christmas jumper in an interesting location and send it into head office. For every photo received at HELLA’s UK H.Q in Chipping Warden, near Banbury, the company will donate £5 to Ben. The staff member who submits the best photo is also in line to win a prize.

“We wanted to make sure everyone at HELLA has the chance to take part in Ben Christmas Jumper Day,” said Neil Grant, Managing Director at HELLA UK. “Thanks to our competition, we are also giving everyone the opportunity to get creative too.”

Through Ben’s Christmas Jumper Day, the charity calls on the automotive community to join with colleagues and wear a Christmas jumper, with everyone taking part donating to the industry charity, and the suggested sum this year is £3.

Funds raised through this event, as well as Ben’s many other activities are used to support automotive individuals and families who are struggling, or in crisis, and the organisation offers a wide range of services to those who work or have worked in the industry.

“Taking part in Ben’s Christmas Jumper Day is a great way to raise money for a worthy cause,” said Neil, “and it’s a lot of fun.”
