In H1, customers interacting with Tjekvik tech at UK dealerships purchased items worth more than £7 million
Leading car care brand Autoglym and Tjekvik, a specialist in digital self-service solutions for aftersales departments, have signed an agreement that will see Autoglym products and services promoted and sold through a significant number of UK dealerships.
Tjekvik’s Home and Indoor aftersales check-in solutions enable customers to securely check their vehicle in and out, how, when and where they want – whether at home on their own device, or in the dealership via a Tjekvik touchscreen kiosk. During the digital check-in process, the dealer can present value-add products and services of their choosing to customers for purchase; the new partnership will mean Autoglym offerings can now be presented automatically to customers in a clear and consistent way whenever they check-in.
Dealers will be able to pick and choose which of Autoglym’s products and services they offer, and stock will be supplied direct to them from Autoglym’s Letchworth-based headquarters.
A wide range of Autoglym’s premium car care products will be available to Tjekvik’s extensive network of UK dealer users, including Group 1, Hartwell, JCB Group, and Vertu. The products have been selected to ensure that all main facets of car care are catered for, and will initially include Autoglym’s Foaming Car Wash, Interior Shampoo, Fast Glass, Odour Eliminator, Screenwash and De-Icer.
In the first half of 2024, customers interacting with Tjekvik technology purchased over 141,000 value-added items, generating more than £7 million in additional revenue for UK dealers, averaging almost £1.1million per month across all sites.
Autoglym LifeShine, a leading dealer-applied vehicle protection system, can also now be presented to customers for purchase during digital check-in. LifeShine consists of a three-part process that applies molecular protective barriers to upholstery, paintwork and glass that can withstand tough dirt and contaminants, ensuring a lifetime of protection and peace of mind for new and used car owners.
Since early 2023, Autoglym LifeShine has featured CeraFuse Technology, LifeShine’s latest and most advanced formula, which combines reactive silicone and molecular bonding to
create a durable and resilient ceramic barrier for a flawless shine and superior protection. Autoglym LifeShine comes with a lifetime guarantee for additional peace of mind.
Christian Mark, CEO and Co-Founder at Tjekvik, said: “More aftersales customers than ever are choosing to purchase additional products and services when they check their vehicles in for service, repair or MOT via digital self-service technologies. Autoglym has an unrivalled reputation in the car care segment and I’m certain thousands of customers will take up the opportunity to buy these products so they can give their cars a cosmetic refresh to match the mechanical update provided by the dealer.”
Aimee Osmond, Head of Professional Marketing at Autoglym LifeShine, said: “While the LifeShine solution is already sold and applied by many of the UK’s largest automotive dealer groups, our agreement with Tjekvik will mean Autoglym’s wide range of exterior and interior car care products will become available to a far broader, highly engaged customer base.”
