Established in 1975, the company has grown from its humble beginnings in a small Hendon warehouse into a trusted partner for distributors, motor factors and workshops nationwide.

From the start, Niterra’s commitment to quality and innovation set the stage for success. The company first gained traction in the motorcycle market before expanding into four-wheel applications.

Early Original Equipment contracts with Lotus and Aston Martin helped establish the NGK brand, and Niterra continued building its reputation by supplying premium manufacturers like Jaguar, Rolls Royce and Bentley. By 1993, NGK had achieved number one status in the UK spark plug market, a position it still holds today.

The Motorsport Connection

Motorsport has been a key proving ground for Niterra’s products. From Formula One and World Rally Championships to Superbikes and Speedway, NGK’s spark plugs have powered numerous teams to global victories.
