Automotive parts supplier Continental Direct (CD) has integrated electronic trading into its business to support the brand’s continued growth in the automotive industry.

The adoption of electronic trading from PACT – the exclusive distributor of TecCom and eparts in the UK and Ireland – means that a number of CD’s ordering procedures are automated such as dealing with stock enquiries, ordering and the exchange of order acknowledgements, dispatch notes and invoices.

The CD brand offers more than 10 product groups in the UK automotive aftermarket, with product development ongoing to support its ranges of shock absorbers, coil springs, strut mount kits, wheel bearings, drive shafts, cv joints, cv boots & steering gaiters and lastly wiper blades including rear arm and blade applications.

In 2023 alone, the brand introduced more than 70 new shock absorber references and over 40 new coil springs, with the addition of 12 new CV joint kit part numbers.

Products are made to Original Equipment (OE) standards and supplied with a two-year / 24,000-mile warranty.

Jason Noon of Continental Direct, said: “The investment in PACT electronic trading underlines our investment in the brand, our customers and the UK automotive aftermarket. Adding more efficiencies into the ordering process, as the Continental Direct brand develops, is key to sustaining growth.”

In addition to a more efficient trading relationship, the benefits of PACT are reduced time to information through real time connectivity leading to: Enhanced availability of parts, accurate pricing, fewer invoice discrepancies, optimised good inwards process and, invoice matching capability.

Mark Rudge of PACT said: “I’m delighted PACT continues to play a major role in the heart of aftermarket businesses. The improvements and efficiencies it brings to the ordering process can be felt throughout the entire automotive supply chain and means brands such as Continental Direct are seen at the forefront of industry innovation.”
