Schaeffler’s ‘Tea-break Training’ back in action!

  • REPXPERT Millionaire – scan to win

  • Schaeffler OneCode. One simple scan – lots of benefits.

The REPXPERT technical team made a welcome return to online training as Simon Cooper once again hosted a Zoom based ‘Tea-break Training Session’, in which Technical Training Manager, Alistair Mason brought the viewing workshop professionals up to speed with the latest updates from Schaeffler on its involvement in the design and development of the latest Electric Vehicle (EV) systems and components.

“After a 12-month break, during which we’ve returned to attending live trade shows and technical events, as well as carrying out one-to-one training with customers and running our own REPXPERT Academy LIVE days, it was great to finally sit in front of the camera and get back online,” says Alistair.

“EV remains the aftermarket’s hottest topic, and with Schaeffler’s REPXPERT service concept designed to focus on the needs of independent workshops, it’s the perfect platform for us to put technicians and garage owners in the picture about the latest developments in EV technology.

“Schaeffler is one of the world’s most pro-active manufacturers when it comes to developing new solutions for vehicle producers, and the session gave us the opportunity to talk about some of these, but it also allowed us to remind mechanics about the traditional combustion engine technologies they’ll still be having to repair daily over the coming years.

“These ‘bread and butter’ jobs include double clutch repairs and installations, which is why our IMI certified LuK 2CT double clutch training remains such a popular theme, as it proved to be again during this session. We also took the opportunity to highlight the benefits of the REPXPERT app and how it can now be used to scan the OneCode labels on our latest LuK, INA and FAG boxes, not only to authenticate the product and highlight technical issues by offering instant access to service information, but also to collect bonus points. And, of course, every single scan increases the chances of becoming our first REPXPERT Millionaire!”

Schaeffler Marketing & Digital Media Executive, Tony Yates, was equally as enthused by the commitment from the 60+ workshop professionals that took the time to take part, saying “The latest session was extremely well received from the moment the camera went ‘LIVE’, with the viewing mechanics and garage owners once again showing how focused they were on what Alistair was presenting.”

“As usual, the questions arrived thick and fast at the end of the session, and the way the REPXPERT team so clearly and concisely responded to those participating in the final Q&A session was very much appreciated, so well done guys!”

Schaeffler is encouraging technicians to keep looking out for the further free training opportunities the company is planning for 2023, including more zoom based ‘Tea-break’ sessions and two more REPXPERT Academy Live events scheduled to take place later in the year.
