Delphi Academy to host Top Garage and Top Technician finals

This year, more than 400 workshops and 1,000 technicians from across the UK applied

Delphi is once again set to host the final of the 2024 Top Garage and Top Technician competitions. This year, more than 400 workshops and 1,000 technicians from across the UK applied, showcasing the depth of talent and passion within the industry.

The UK's best garages and brightest technicians will gather at Delphi's recently expanded training Academy in Warwick on October 26th, where they will compete in the final rounds of the national competition.

“Hosting the Top Garage and Top Technician Awards for the third-year running is a testament to our commitment to celebrating excellence within the automotive industry,” said Luke Garratt, UK Technical Services Manager at Delphi. “Each year, we are inspired by their passion and dedication, and it’s an honour for us to provide a platform that recognizes their hard work and achievements. We look forward to another fantastic celebration of skill and professionalism.”

The winners will be announced during an awards ceremony later that evening at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Coventry.

Each year the prestigious competition draws thousands of technicians from independent, fast-fit, and franchised workshops of all sizes across the UK, all vying for the coveted title of 'Top' at the Awards Ceremony.

“There’s no better way to see how you measure up in the industry,” said Luke. “And it’s a fantastic way to celebrate the opening of our new training academy.”

A half-a-million-pound investment over the summer has seen the Warwick-based Delphi Academy double in size by extending into a neighbouring unit, bringing the total floor space to 1,430 square meters. Addressing industry needs, the extension features brand new state-of-the-art training amenities dedicated to hybrid and electric vehicle education.

It comes as part of Delphi’s ongoing mission to support workshops with the knowledge, diagnostic tools, parts and technical support needed to efficiently work on today’s increasingly complicated car parc.
