Easy2Recruit CEO to be Top Garage judge
Easy2Recruit, the agency assisting garages hiring overseas talent, will be helping to decide which businesses will win in Top Garage 2024. Founder and CEO Ambi Singh is joining the distinguished panel of judges for the final of the national competition taking place at the end of October at Delphi’s recently-expanded training centre in Warwick.
“It’s a great honour to be invited to join the panel of judges in Top Garage,” said Ambi. Other notable names among the judges include James Dillon, Andy Crook and many more, along with representatives from Castrol, Delphi and other major sector brands.
Top Garage is an annual competition organised by Aftermarket magazine. Businesses that have reached the final will have passed a number of online rounds through the year. At the final, the panel of judges look at each business’s planning, marketing, workshop processes, staffing policies and more. Top Garage was first held in 2018, and takes place alongside Top Technician, the competition for mechanics that has been running since 2002.
Ambi and his fellow judges will be asked to evaluate businesses in a number of size-based classes for the main Top Garage trophies, and then pick a winner for each. Individual team members will also be looked at for the Top Service Advisor prize, while the new Mobile Mechanic award will also be up for grabs, as will the Ben Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award. Well-known businesses in the running for 2024 include Oldfields Garage Services, Cleevely Motors, CCM and Shaikly Motor Company. Overall, 42 businesses and 10 service advisors will be facing the judges at the finals.
“With my experience within Easy2Recruit helping garages source technicians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India,” said Ambi, “as well as my career as a garage owner leading the Binley Woods Service Centre, I have a wide understanding of the challenges businesses face every day. The final for Top Garage 2024 is being held on Saturday 26th October at Delphi’s training centre in Warwick. The winners will be announced that night at the Top Technician and Top Garage Awards Evening, being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Coventry.
