Ecobat Battery showcases its latest product data

Identifying the correct part for any particular application is key for both factors supplying, and workshops fitting, replacement components, which is why quality product data is priority for Ecobat Battery.

Ecobat Battery is the UK’s largest battery distributor, supplying prominent original equipment (OE) brands such as Exide and VARTA, as well as its own Lucas and Numax offerings, and it is with these two proprietary brands that the company has concentrated upon, to ensure that the independent service and repair sector can select the correct replacement with confidence.

Working with MAM Software, the industry’s leading data provider, Ecobat Battery has used the start of the new year to announce the latest Autocat data update, which completely revitalises the application links and includes extensive OE and aftermarket cross references for both the iconic Lucas, and value orientated, Numax brands. In addition to the revised data linkages, the data also includes photographic product images, to provide an even greater level of accuracy during the specification process.

Ecobat Battery became the UK licence holder for the Lucas brand of battery in 2009, extending the agreement to elevate Lucas to become the company’s ‘signature brand’ across Europe in 2016, further endorsing the truly pan-European nature of the business.

The Numax brand was introduced into the Ecobat Battery portfolio in 2002 to celebrate the original company’s 50th anniversary. Over the last 20 years, the brand has established itself as an effective, value orientated automotive solution, as well as one of the UK’s premier range of leisure batteries.

In addition to its unrivalled ability to supply the batteries needed, when and where their customers require them, Ecobat Battery has built its reputation by providing a level of service that reaches far beyond mere battery sales, which means that the company is able to supplement this core discipline with other support functions, to enable businesses to consistently grow their battery sales.

Among these additional roles is highlighting the environmental responsibilities that affect both workshops and wholesalers, a role that Ecobat Battery, through its associated group companies, can provide further practical support for, through scrap battery collection and recycling, for example.

Underpinning the Ecobat Battery sales team, is a 13-stong national branch network across the UK and Ireland, which means that as well as outstanding knowledge and service, its customers also benefit from excellent availability of the industry’s most prominent brands.
