First Line gears up for aftermarket shifts in 2025

First Line Ltd. is preparing for a transformative 2025, one that is marked by the increasing dominance of electric and hybrid vehicles

As the automotive aftermarket continues to evolve, First Line Ltd. is preparing for a transformative 2025, one that is marked by the increasing dominance of electric and hybrid vehicles.

The family-owned business, with over 40 years of experience in the industry, predicts that the coming year will see the aftermarket sector facing a series of challenges and opportunities, especially as vehicle electrification accelerates.

In the last year, First Line Ltd. has expanded its offerings to meet the growing demand for electric and hybrid vehicle components, supplying 3,000 references for hybrid models and a further 1,500 available for electric vehicles including the popular MG electric models.

The company is adamant that aftermarket suppliers must keep up with the shift in technology to stay competitive.

Kelvin Olds, Product Director at First Line, said: “The automotive landscape is changing rapidly, and the aftermarket must adapt to the demands of the modern vehicle parc. We’ve invested heavily in our EV and hybrid range, which now spans critical categories such as braking, steering, suspension and wheel bearings, ensuring we are well-positioned to support the next generation of vehicles.”

First Line also sees sustainability as a key driver of industry growth. With increasing pressure from consumers and regulations for greener products, the company is placing significant focus on environmentally-friendly practices. This includes prioritising eco-friendly packaging and product durability, which are essential for reducing waste and promoting longevity in the aftermarket.

In parallel, First Line emphasises the importance of maintaining the highest standards of quality. Over the past year, First Line has introduced over 500 new-to-range parts, maintaining a 50,000 product portfolio spanning 65 categories over three brands, including braking, driveshafts, clutch, steering and suspension, filters, cooling, wipers and wheel bearings.

Its ISO9001 certification, in-house technical centre and rigorous testing procedures ensure that it consistently meets the high standards required in the evolving aftermarket.

Olds concludes: “The future is about being first to market with quality, sustainable solutions that meet the needs of both traditional and electric vehicles. We’re excited about what 2025 holds and committed to being at the forefront of this transformation.”
