Flying Spares secures global rights
Leicestershire-based Flying Spares, the world’s largest independent supplier of Rolls-Royce and Bentley parts, has secured global rights to the Lucas Classic and Girling Classic brands for Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
Quintessentially British, Lucas is the world’s oldest continually trading automotive brand. At the forefront of original equipment (OE), aftermarket and motorsport parts supply for almost 150 years, it acquired braking pioneer Girling in 1938.
Neil Arman, Director of Flying Spares, commented: “For a heritage parts specialist like us, this worldwide agreement to distribute and develop Lucas Classic and Girling Classic for Rolls-Royce and Bentley is the stuff of dreams. It unites some of the most iconic names in British motoring history, it’s great news for Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners, repairers and restorers, and we’re absolutely delighted.
“We’re launching with a comprehensive range of Lucas Classic lighting products for post-1946 Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars, available now in the traditional red and black packaging. Whether you need a new rear left lamp for a US spec Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit, or a front right indicator for a Bentley Continental, Lucas Classic provides a compelling combination of modern OE quality and genuine British manufacturing authenticity.
“Many Lucas Classic parts are still made in the UK, engineered to the original designs using cutting-edge techniques, with robust testing procedures guaranteeing both reliability and exceptional performance – the best of the old and the best of the new. The range will expand in Q3 this year to include Lucas Classic ignition products and switches, and our first Girling Classic products, starting with hydraulics.”
