GSF and Borg enter strategic partnership to serve aftermarket

Borg Automotive specialises in the remanufacturing of OE-quality automotive parts for the European aftermarket

GSF Car Parts has announced that it has entered a strategic partnership with vehicle parts manufacturer Borg Automotive. The move strengthens GSF’s position within the UK aftermarket, with a broader range of products available to customers.

Borg Automotive specialises in the remanufacturing of OE-quality automotive parts for the European aftermarket. Its brands include DRI, TMI and Lucas. It supplies aftermarket parts which include starters, alternators, brake calipers, air-con compressors, EGR valves, steering racks, and steering pumps.

GSF has committed to investing in stock from across Borg Automotive’s premium brand Lucas, which will be distributed to its branch network from its National Distribution Centre in Wolverhampton.

As part of the collaboration, the Lucas range of turbos will be available from GSF, with 139 lines available. This gives coverage of 95% of the turbo market and includes fitment for both passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Steve Horne, CEO, GSF Car Parts, commented: "We’re excited to be distributing a diverse range of products under the Lucas brand. This partnership not only expands the support we can offer our customers with a broader product range, but also strengthens our collaboration with Borg, which is a fantastic step forward.

“The partnership also includes a huge stock investment by GSF, ensuring branches have access to a wide range of parts.”

Klaus Jensen, Country Manager & Senior Sales Lead, BORG Automotive Group, added: "We are very pleased to strengthen our partnership with GSF Car Parts. This strategic agreement is an important step in our shared ambition to deliver high-quality spare parts to the UK aftermarket. We see great potential in this collaboration and are convinced that it will generate strong results for both parties and, most importantly, for customers."
