Hella Gutmann begins its next chapter
With its eyes firmly set on the future, Hella Gutmann, the workshop equipment division of global original equipment (OE) supplier HELLA, has reinvigorated and strengthened its UK team to ensure it can continue to provide its growing customer base with not only the best diagnostic tools and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) calibration solutions in the business, but with the highest level of technical support.
“We’ve enhanced the Hella Gutmann team as the time is right to grasp a real opportunity to adapt to what the market needs right now, and perhaps more importantly, what it needs moving forward,” explains HELLA’s Sales & Marketing Director, Ian Boyle. “Although this focus is primarily within the Hella Gutmann team, the internal changes we’re making also affects the aftermarket parts division of the business too.
“We will have a much higher focus to integrate more closely the Hella Gutmann offering with our HELLA parts sales. The Hella Gutmann team will be upskilled to be able to have deeper discussions about parts and better represent the complete HELLA brand, and the aftermarket team will likewise be upskilled to have a greater understanding of the workshop equipment products. Both are touch points with our customers that allow us to present a consistent message to express what HELLA represents and both the parts and services solutions that we can provide to the market. This allows us to meet the current and future demands of our customers more fully as the complexity of vehicles has led to a much greater need to be able to support an end-to-end offering of diagnostics, ADAS and related component products.
“We have invested to take the business forward and in the Hella Gutmann team, this has resulted in the recruitment of key personnel with the knowhow and ability necessary to achieve this undertaking. Instrumental in this process is our new UK Sales Manager, Julian Goulding, a well-known and highly respected professional, with a huge amount of knowledge and experience. He will be supported by a longstanding member of the Hella Gutmann family, Key Account Manager, Riccardo Sorano. We have created a new role of Technical & Training Manager and to this position we have appointed Steve Fox. He has a wealth of experience in diagnostics and ADAS and will be a real asset to ensure we can accelerate the education to the industry in these key areas.
“Other key roles within the team consist of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals with experience from both the franchised dealer workshop and/or the independent service sector. Business Development Managers Jon Davis covering the north, Steve Brett covering the south and Hotline and Helpdesk Manager Alex McGee complete the new line up.
“As well as a new team we have (amongst others) three game changing diagnostic products in the Hella Gutmann armoury, which allow workshops to future proof against the ever-changing landscape. The Mega Macs X, which allows users to tackle the most complex issues such as Cyber Security Management and when partnered with the MT-HV tool allows high and low voltage measurement that are required for working on both hybrid and full electric vehicles. These tools alongside the Macs Remote allow a workshop to offer a full and comprehensive solution to cover all jobs.
“We also continue to be a market leader in ADAS Calibration tools with the analogue CSC SE, the CSC digital and CSC mobile tools offering multiple option for workshops wanting to equip themselves to take on jobs in this ever-growing area.”
