Jet Clean Tronic III from LIQUI MOLY: one concept, two machines

Exhaust emissions and fuel residues dirty the fuel and intake system, and the particulate filter. A fundamental and far-reaching problem with combustion engines: performance drops, consumption increases and exhaust emissions deteriorate. At Automechanika in Frankfurt a.M., the German additive specialist LIQUI MOLY is showcasing two versions of Jet Clean Tronic III. The professional version is a 3-in-1 solution and cleans the fuel system, the intake tract including intake valves and the particulate filter. The basic version has an attractively low price.

Removing parts and cleaning or replacing them by hand costs garages time and money. It is much cheaper to clean the engine components in situ. “In the long term, this is also more economically lucrative for the companies,” said LIQUI MOLY Managing Director Günter Hiermaier at the presentation of the Jet Clean Tronic III garage concept at Automechanika. "Services that are attractive to the end consumer and reduce the burden on their own wallet bind them to the garage they trust and they recommend it to others. This boosts new customer business." The additive specialist has always been committed to offering its customers solutions that generate additional revenue.

LIQUI MOLY launched Jet Clean Tronic in 2005, followed by a further developed version in 2018. More than 3,000 units have been sold worldwide to date. The third generation version stands out from the two previous ones. For the first time, workshops can choose between two types: the low-cost basic version is a tabletop unit with hose holder. This can be used to clean the fuel systems of gasoline and diesel engines. Jet Clean Tronic III Pro is a 3-in-1 solution: this flagship product cleans the fuel and intake system, including intake valves, and the particulate filter. In addition to a hose holder, the trolley device also has a visual and acoustic warning device and a stowage compartment. Both devices are fully electronic, have a 4-inch touch display and are WiFi enabled. This means that the latest device software is always available – without additional annual costs.

Five special Pro-Line JetClean additives take care of removing deposits. One each for gasoline and diesel engine fuel systems. The Pro-Line intake system/valve cleaner has been newly developed in a gasoline and a diesel version, as well as the Pro-Line particle filter cleaner. This results in a very wide range of applications. It is suitable for almost all 2- and 4-stroke engines used in passenger cars, motorcycles, vans, boats and commercial vehicles such as trucks, construction and agricultural machinery. "Whether problem-related as a separate service or integrated into the annual inspection as a preventive measure, both help garages to set themselves apart from the competition. Especially with heavily loaded vehicles, the customer immediately feels a difference," says LIQUI MOLY application technician Reiner Schönfelder, who has been in charge of the project from the start.

Despite the ban on the sale of combustion engines announced by the EU from 2035, vehicles powered by gasoline or diesel fuel will continue to shape the roads in Germany and its EU partner countries for a long time to come. "And these vehicles depend on services such as those offered by our Jet Clean Tronic III. This applies in particular to modern major assemblies because they are much more sensitive to dirt than older ones. The range from power loss to engine damage is enormous," explained Reiner Schönfelder.

Jet Clean Tronic III is a concept. The devices, the optional accessories such as adapters and fluids are the building blocks of the system as a whole. Other components include on-site training by a LIQUI MOLY application technician, social media marketing, outdoor advertising and support for promotions and, last but not least, access to up-to-date working documents and product information – all free of charge. “This holistic approach is the basis for our success and the roadmap for the success of our customers,” says Managing Director Günter Hiermaier.
