Labcraft lights the way for safer operations at ITT Hub

Labcraft, industry-leading designers and manufacturers of low-voltage LED lighting for commercial vehicles, is presenting a range of innovative lighting solutions at this year’s ITT Hub, including new additions to their popular Banksman range.

Labcraft’s most popular line is the Banksman vehicle manoeuvring light that meets the strict criteria of Regulation 23. This was the first light of its type to be launched in Europe. Today, the Labcraft Banksman range has grown and offers multiple models to fit any truck, trailer and emergency vehicle.

The Banksman enables OEMs and Operators to meet Regulation 48 directives for lights installed pre-vehicle registration. The lights are fitted around the chassis to direct pure bright light downwards and away from the vehicle, illuminating the area around the vehicle helping to reduce accidents and collisions whilst manoeuvring. This say Labcraft, improves safety and reduces repair costs and insurance premiums.

Operators seeking to improve safety can also retrofit the Banksman lights to their existing fleet, as it is ideal for illuminating any vehicle or trailer and works well with low-set bodywork and most types of ancillary loading equipment, such as column or tuck-away tail lifts.

For operators visiting the show from the commercial transport, emergency services and construction markets, Labcraft offers a range of bright innovative lights to illuminate both external work areas and internal spaces and meet the Health & Safety Guidelines for workplace lighting.

Available in several specifications and with various outputs and current draw options, the Labcraft lights can be fitted to numerous vehicles including the latest EV vehicles, for which light efficiency and efficacy is all the more important. 

Casting light on the cool sector

For temperature-controlled vehicles, including box vans and refrigerated trailers, Labcraft manufacture a range of lighting solutions designed to cope with extreme conditions, as low as minus 30 degrees.

The lights are waterproof, and R10 approved, they can be surface-mounted or recessed into most vehicle bodies and are engineered to suit a broad range of vehicles and voltages to provide a consistent light output.

Furthermore, Labcraft offers fast and easy to install models and connections enabling manufacturers to maximise efficiencies and helping to keep production costs to a minimum.

As well as providing low voltage energy efficient products, Labcraft is committed to protecting the environment through green manufacturing and carbon off-set activities. The Labcraft factory has a solar power system and is fitted with a biomass boiler to reduce emissions.
