Motor Ombudsman enters partnership with Howden to increase ADR take-up

  • Howden Motor Trade Insurance clients will have access to a tailored accreditation package from the Ombudsman for the automotive sector

The Motor Ombudsman, the Ombudsman dedicated to the automotive sector, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Howden, the market-leading insurance broker. The new collaboration has been introduced to enhance the suite and value of benefits available to both Motor Trade Insurance policyholders, and Motor Ombudsman-accredited businesses operating in the service and repair and vehicle sales sectors.

The partnership introduces a unique proposition to Howden, offering its clients that are not already accredited to The Motor Ombudsman, such as vehicle retailers, independent garages and mobile mechanics, a tailored package when applying for accreditation to The Motor Ombudsman’s established Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI)-approved Motor Industry Codes of Practice for Service and Repair and Vehicle Sales.

Similarly, through the collaboration, Motor Ombudsman-accredited businesses will be able to take advantage of a suite of benefits when taking out one of Howden’s Motor Trade Insurance products. These include being able to take advantage of preferential premium rates, and a number of exclusive offers in relation to the level of cover when taking out a policy.
