Motul is marking the third year of its multi-year partnership with what is now the Silverstone Festival, with an expansive presence, together with a plethora of activities and announcements at this prime summer motoring event.

MOTUL: WHAT TO SEE WHERE

The famous lubricant brand has three sites at the Festival. Motul’s main base, with its double fronted enclosure, is in a similar position to last year, at the Village end of the Copse Runway.

This in itself will feature two distinct areas - a public one that showcases a number of different aspects of Motul’s offering. Lubricant advice and sales will be available throughout, for all of Motul’s newly launched ranges, as well as Motul’s popular Era-specific historic vehicle lubricant products. This part of the stand will also offer the public the chance to purchase Motul’s increasingly popular retro merchandise range throughout the weekend.

On display at the Motul enclosure will be the Lotus 23 sports racer that German motorsport influencer and Motul Ambassador Tim Schrick has brought to the Festival. Paddock Speedshop’s Motul-liveried 1961 Tartan Mini Cooper will also be on display at the Motul enclosure.

The other area promotes Motul’s business to business offer and is aimed at automotive businesses and car clubs. Featured here are the latest in Motul’s growing range of Garage Equipment: Motul’s automated additive dispenser and the chance to see Motul’s sustainable BioClean parts washing machine in action. Pride of place in the business section is taken by Andy Wait’s beautiful Motul Red BMW M4 Competition.

Adjacent to the main enclosure is one of Motul’s mobile oil laboratories. This year sees the return of the Motul Classic Bus mobile lab, at which visitors can get a free health check for their car engine or gearbox - if they bring an oil sample - through Motul’s Oil analysis machines. Over the last couple of year’s Motul’s free Oil analysis service has given critical advance warning of potential catastrophic failures on several race cars at the festival – saving their owners from both a potentially dangerous situation on track, and thousands of pounds of damaged engine!

Motul has two further “satellite” sites at the Classic, one in the National Paddock, which will feature Nathan Wright’s classic racing simulator, while the other, in the International Paddock, will feature Paddock Speedshop’s race car. The stars of upcoming classic restoration TV show will once again be very much in attendance again with Motul. This time, the crew will also be filming one of the show’s stars, Harvey Blake-Jones, as he makes his race debut at the Festival behind the wheel of no less a car than the Motul-liveried 1962 AC Cobra from the Elvis Presley film, Viva Las Vegas!

BRM – THE SIGHT AND THE SOUND

The fabulous Motul-lubricated V16 BRM Formula One car will also be at the Silverstone Festival and will be taking to the track on Sunday, after being on static display for the first two days in the International Paddock. Motul has been a technical partner on the project from the outset. Getting to witness the sight and sound of this incredible car in action is likely to be a festival highlight for anyone fortunate enough to see it on-track.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES APLENTY

Motul is proudly announcing three new ranges at the Silverstone Festival.

Motul NGEN is the brand’s vision of future lubricants – sustainable but with no compromise in performance. NGEN features a high percentage of Regenerated Oil and Recycled Plastic for its packaging, with all of it being 100% recyclable.

Motul is also launching the 8100 Power series – an oil for the high performance and highly tuned engines, which is equally at home on the road… or on the track.

The burgeoning Bicycle market is the subject of Motul’s third UK launch at the Festival. Motul has used its expertise in other sectors to produce eight bicycle care and maintenance products. The Motul Bicycle Care Range brings together top-quality products and market-leading sustainability.

CLUB MOTUL TURNS THREE

Also very much in evidence will be Club Motul - the affinity programme that offers Vehicle Clubs and their members special access to Motul offers, merchandise and events. The 2023 Silverstone Festival marks the second anniversary of Club Motul’s launch, and it now boasts more than 150 car clubs who are affiliated to the initiative.
