New name, same quality products
The name on the building may have changed, but the quality of the brands inside remains the same.
NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd this month officially changed the name of its UK operations to Niterra UK Ltd and has now revealed new signage at its Hemel Hempstead headquarters.
However, the company’s iconic brand names – NGK ignition parts and NTK vehicle electronics – remain and will continue to lead the way in the automotive industry.
NGK is the world’s No.1 spark plug brand. The company’s Iridium and Platinum precious metal spark plugs may be more expensive, but when specified by vehicle manufacturers (VMs) and used during service and repair they will prevent possible problems due to poor ignition performances, poor tolerance to fouling, higher ignition coil loads and increasing unwanted emissions.
The ignition range also includes glow plugs, which offer the latest in high technology for today and tomorrow, plus ignition coils and ignition lead sets.
NTK Lambda sensors are the No.1 choice of VMs giving improved engine efficiency, reduced emissions and increased economy. Other engine management sensors include NTK camshaft & crankshaft sensors, MAF & MAP sensors, Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensors and EGR valves.
The company officially changed its name from April 1, 2023 to Niterra to better reflect its future strategy as it focuses more on new business fields – mobility, medical, environment & energy and communications. Niterra is a coined word which combines the Latin words ‘niteo’ meaning ‘shine’ and ‘terra/earth’.
