OESAA Academy Live an avenue for technicians to upskill

GSF Car Parts

GSF Car Parts is “rallying our local teams” to attract technicians to the highly-anticipated OESAA Academy Live trade evenings at Exeter College and Hugh Baird College in Liverpool.

Banner Batteries, DENSO, Laser Tools, MAHLE Aftermarket, Schaeffler, VARTA, Brembo, HELLA, Bosch, Dayco, Fil Filter, ZF Aftermarket, with the support of Garage Services Online, have all confirmed their attendance at least one of the events taking place in Exeter (27th September) and Liverpool (4th October).

The heart of OESAA Academy Live will be a ‘workshop arena’ where visitors can connect with OESAA members, attend presentations, and watch live demonstrations. There will also be training classrooms, where experts will cover technology, diagnosis, and replacement. Attendees can also win prizes, including the latest video consoles, and enjoy food and refreshments.

The event represents education, engagement, and entertainment for both delegates and OESAA members. Furthermore, OESAA Academy Live underscores GSF’s commitment to championing industry education and fostering professional development, according to its Head of Servicesure, Paul Dineen:

“OESAA Academy Live will bring together garage owners, technicians, and OEMs to explore the latest advancements in vehicle technology and industry best practices. We’re anticipating lots of progressive and like-minded professionals in attendance, so the chance to share challenges, opportunities and experiences with one another will be a real benefit.

“It’s vitally important to the future of our industry that technicians from independent garages are shown the path to success – one of the best ways to achieve this is by engaging with events and organisations like OESAA Academy Live.”

At the heart of GSF's support is the deployment of its local teams from branches across the north-west and south-west. These teams are diligently working to promote the events to its customers, emphasising the benefits of gaining direct access to dynamic discussions, face-to-face interactions and demonstrations.

Paul continued: “Technicians are the backbone of our industry; their success is crucial to its future. We firmly believe that events, like OESAA Academy Live, provide an avenue for technicians to keep pace. GSF's commitment to supporting and empowering independent garage owners and technicians aligns perfectly with the goals of these unique trade evenings.”

GSF specialist product and Servicesure teams will be present at both events to provide the distributor’s own insights into emerging technologies, EVs, business development, and training.

Paul added: “We will continue to collaborate with industry bodies, like OESAA, IAAF, SMMT, and renowned OE parts suppliers, to promote aftermarket excellence and secure the future of the aftermarket.”

Visitors are welcome to both Wednesday evenings from 5pm – there’s no need to sign up beforehand! – with the event set to conclude at approximately 9pm. Those with dietary requirements are encouraged to contact info@oesaa.com.
