OESAA member up for Automechanika Garage Award

The Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) is delighted to learn that Oldfields Garage, owned by garage forum member, Tim Benson, has been nominated for the upcoming Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards.

A stalwart supporter of the organisation and a vital contributor to marketing and group activities, Tim is an important cog between OESAA and industry professionals; therefore, the membership is thrilled to discover that Oldfields made the judged shortlist for Garage of the Year.

Hosted by the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation and held at Hilton Metropole NEC on Wednesday 7th June – the second day of Automechanika Birmingham 2023 – the category recognises garages and aftermarket service outlets that delivered “exceptional service” and demonstrated “high calibre business acumen” over the previous 12 months.

Tim said: “We consistently receive excellent feedback from our customers, so winning the Garage of the Year award would help the whole Oldfields team to gain the recognition they deserve for their hard work and outstanding commitment to keeping our customers informed, safe and mobile.

“Winning would have a huge, positive impact on the Oldfields brand and would help us continue to build what on what we do to contribute to our local community.”

Tim also wished to place on record his thanks to customers and fellow connections in the trade for their support so far.

OESAA Chairman, Nigel Morgan, added: “Tim is a fantastic supporter of OESAA; his insights and forward-thinking approach to business has helped us shape campaigns and content that benefits industry professionals across the UK – we wish Oldfields Garage the very best of luck with its nomination.”

OESAA, of course, will attend the ceremony, not just to see if Oldfields secures the award, but to also present trophies in two other categories: Best Single-Site Garage and ‘Auto-Mechanik’ of the Year.
