PETRONAS and Univar Solutions sign exclusive agreement for UK
PETRONAS Lubricants Italy S.P.A and PETRONAS Lubricants Great Britain Limited (PLI) announced it signed an agreement with Univar Solutions B.V. and Univar Solutions UK Limited, subsidiaries of Univar Solutions Inc., a leading global solutions provider to users of specialty ingredients and chemicals, for an exclusive macro distributorship for the UK market. From 1st November 2023 Univar Solutions will exclusively distribute PLI lubricants in the UK, providing customers with PLI’s renowned lubricant products and services for cars, trucks, vans, agricultural vehicles, and motorcycles.
PLI is one of the top 10 lubricants producers in Europe, with production sites in Italy, Spain, and Belgium. UnivarSolutions uses a dedicated hub/spoke model, with an extensive warehouse and transportation network for distribution in the UK to meet the demand for finished lubricants from automotive and industrial market customers.
The agreement is expected to offer supply-chain efficiencies that enable the PLI brand to maintain a competitive position in the UK lubricants industry. Under the agreement, Univar Solutions will align with PLI’s growth objectives for the territory to ensure the brand sustains a strong foothold in the third largest lubricants market in Europe. On behalf of PLI, Univar Solutions will continue sales of all product ranges currently available in the UK market.
