Prestigious industry appointment for Yokohama UK’s managing director

• The National Tyres Distributors Association (NTDA) has appointed Marisa Hever-Smith as a new executive council member

• Marisa, who is managing director of Yokohama HPT Ltd, has more than 15 years tyre industry experience

• The appointment concludes a busy year of growth for Yokohama HPT Ltd which saw the introduction of a comprehensive range of truck and bus tyres to the UK

Managing director of Yokohama HPT Ltd, Marisa Hever-Smith, has been appointed as a new executive council member of the National Tyres Distributors Association (NTDA). 

As a member of the council, Marisa will draw upon her extensive 15 years’ experience in the tyre industry to help the Association and its members become an even stronger force.

Commenting on the appointment, Marisa said: “Being appointed as an executive council member of the NTDA is a real honour. It’s also incredibly pleasing to continue and extend the close bond between Yokohama and the Association, which has been built up over many years of working together.

“I hope my involvement can bring some alternative insight and ideas to the Association and its members, helping us work together so that we become more dynamic individual businesses and an even stronger industry as a whole.”

Premium tyre manufacturer, Yokohama, has been a long-term supporter and member of the NTDA. Indeed, in 2019 it was awarded the Association’s prestigious ‘Tyre Manufacturer of the Year’ award.

With her vast experience in the tyre industry, Marisa is a well-respected individual who I’m sure will add further strength to the Association and its work.”
