Prizes, show deals and EV insight to be given away at EV Ready next week

EV Ready Show

EV Ready is primed to open its doors at Brighton Racecourse for independent garage owners and technicians eager to draw upon the EV expertise of the automotive aftermarket’s biggest brands and respected experts during the trade event on Wednesday 25 January from 5.00pm.

An EV Ready Quiz will give visitors the chance to win top prizes, including free IMI membership, free HEVRA membership, a free EV training course and much more. Alongside special show deals, exhibitors will be inviting attendees to answer a series of EV Ready Quiz questions before winners are selected from correct responses and awarded with their prizes at the end of the evening.

A live EV discussion panel will explore what the UK’s growing EV car parc means for workshops, the opportunities available and how to transition into a new electrified era. Joining the EV Ready discussion panel is Peter Melville of the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Repair Alliance (HEVRA), Ben Stockton of Our Virtual Academy, Paul Dineen of Servicesure and Quentin Le Hetet of GiPA. Matt Cleevely of Cleevely Motors will also be sharing his expertise as an award-winning and widely renowned independent EV specialist, while Kevin Pearce of Cedar Garage will be offering his perspective as a forward-thinking garage that’s currently making investments to tap into the growing EV market.

There’s also a series of scheduled talks being held throughout the evening, covering everything from EV training and parts to marketing your garage business from the likes of the IMI, Autotech Training and Delphi Technologies, to name just a few.

Community-driven garage management software Garage Hive will be unveiling extended EV data capabilities at the EV Ready event at Brighton Racecourse on 25th January.

EV Ready aims to be the UK’s first independent garage show dedicated entirely to electric vehicle skills, equipment and technology.

For Garage Hive, EV Ready brings an opportunity to meet progressive owners looking to invest in moving their businesses forwards. Their stand will be staffed by Garage Hive director Alex Lindley, alongside other members of the team.

“We’re going to have extended EV-related data available within Garage Hive ahead of the event,” said Alex. “Having EV Ready as a specialist show like this certainly helps businesses supporting the aftermarket to really focus on showcasing and developing their EV solutions, so it definitely provides some useful extra impetus.”

The data customers will soon be able to see within Garage Hive is intended to support technicians by providing service and repair related information in one place - including charging data, battery information, system voltages and transmission details.

“Integrations like this really just reflect the growth in EV that we’re seeing and the shift that’s underway with these vehicles becoming more part of day-to-day work for many garages.”

Jim Lang from Garage Services Online will address the delegates about how they can recoup the cost of investing in EV equipment and training; something which is front of mind for most garage owners.

He said: “There’s absolutely no doubt that independent garages are going to see a big increase in demand for EV service and repair over the next few years.

“However, with business costs at an all-time high, it’s understandable that many owners will feel apprehensive about investing in and expanding their garage services.

“It is entirely possible though, to set a plan in place to ensure the return on investment in EV is recouped. A garage’s online presence is at the heart of that plan. It’s not just crucial to ensure a steady flow of EV customers, it’s imperative for the long-term survival of the business.”

Garage Services Online will also be running a free online health check and advice for all attendees to EV Ready.
