Quest Consumables overhauls stock visibility with TecCom implementation

Quest Consumables

Workshop consumables specialist Quest Consumables has implemented electronic trading through TecCom, with improved stock visibility helping its distributors to optimise their orders efficiently.

Established in 1984, the Warwickshire-based company specialises in high-volume workshop consumables and tools, with over 10,000 part numbers available for next-day delivery from a 40,000ft2 stockholding facility.

The TecCom system provides improved stock visibility all the way through to delivery, while taking care of invoicing and credit management. All this reduces order process time, increasing efficiency for both Quest and its distributors.

George MacArthur, sales and marketing director at Quest Consumables, said: “Our installation of TecCom will undoubtedly improve our distributors’ experiences with Quest, offering efficiencies across all steps of the transaction, from ordering, through to stock availability and invoicing. This will improve our overall customer service, expanding our capabilities in the automotive marketplace.

“We’re on a mission to further increase our product portfolio to provide our distributors with more growth opportunities. Our new product development and marketing teams are already launching new, innovative ranges to ensure we maintain our status as market leaders.

“Recent introductions to our catalogue of over 10,000 part numbers include an updated range of vision lighting, electric vehicle tools and consumables, electrical connectors, OnHand disposable gloves, Abracs abrasives, the FIXT valeting range, and tyre care consumables.”

Mark Rudge, director of PACT, said: “By embracing electronic trading, businesses in the automotive aftermarket sector can connect with customers much more efficiently than ever before.

“To stay ahead of the curve, it’s important that businesses stay agile to the changing needs of their customers. Installing TecCom is a great way of achieving this.”

“As we continue to expand our product ranges, this is a really exciting time for Quest and we look forward to working closely with the TecCom team to ensure that our customers benefit from this new technology,” MacArthur comments.
