Ring partners with TyreSafe for Tyre Safety Month

Ring, is again supporting TyreSafe, the UK’s leading authority on tyre safety, with its campaign for Tyre Safety Month in October

Premium quality automotive accessory specialist, Ring, is again supporting TyreSafe, the UK’s leading authority on tyre safety, with its campaign for Tyre Safety Month in October.

Ring has been a long standing supporter of TyreSafe, the UK’s leading authority on tyre safety, and has previously assisted at its events across the UK alongside the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service, to conduct tyre pressure and tyre tread depth checks with its specialist equipment.

For Tyre Safety Month in October, Ring is again lending its support to the charity and assisting with its ‘Caught in the A.C.T.’ campaign, during which drivers and riders are encouraged to check their tyres more often, by using the A.C.T acronym:

  • Air Pressure: Highlighting the need to keep tyres adequately inflated to ensure optimal performance and fuel efficiency.

  • Condition: Urging motorists to inspect their tyres regularly for any signs of damage, such as cuts, bulges, or other issues that might compromise safety.

  • Tread: Stressing the importance of maintaining sufficient tread depth for effective grip and braking.

These three checks form the foundation of proactive tyre maintenance, ensuring the tyres being used on the UK’s are safe.

Ring has been vocal about the dangers of over and under inflated tyres for years and has brought in multiple products to assist drivers to maintain the correct pressure on their tyres.

One such product, which has won multiple awards, is Ring’s cordless tyre inflator (RTC4000), a high quality, compact, yet powerful cordless tyre inflator that can be used for cars and motorbikes. Unlike the many cordless tyre inflators on the market that can only top up one or two tyres at a time till the battery goes flat, the RTC4000 can easily inflate four tyres, each by more than 10 psi and has a battery capacity that will even inflate a tyre from flat. It is also easily chargeable via a USB Type C or 12V DC cable and inflates tyres quickly.

Ring's RTG4 is a digital tyre gauge with keyring attachment, making it lightweight and convenient to carry around, and therefore easy for users to check their tyre pressures regularly. This award winning gauge gives accurate readings in PSI, kPA, BAR and kg/cm2, and even comes with an integrated LED light to help drivers find the tyre valve in the dark.

Marketing Director for Ring, Henry Bisson, said: “During our partnership with TyreSafe, we have helped at multiple events checking people’s tyres, and they continue to raise our concerns, as a lot of the tyres we check have some sort of issue. Yet, this is why we need to keep beating this drum and discussing the importance of tyre safety and the potential consequences of drivers not looking after their vehicles, whether that’s lights, brakes, battery or tyres, in fact, every aspect of their car needs care and regular maintenance.

“Tyres are a vehicle’s only contact with the road and should be looked after a lot more than they are. TyreSafe understands just how important and safety critical tyres are, which is why we’re happy to partner with them for Tyre Safety Month again, as they continue to do incredible work in helping keep our road’s safe. So this October, make sure you A.C.T!”
