Rune Avnsted takes over responsibility for IAM sales at BORG Automotive

BORG Automotive has a new Sales Director Rune Avnsted. Since October 1, the 46-year-old has overseen the BORG Automotive Reman sales and customer service at Europe’s largest independent remanufacturer. Together with his team, he will be responsible for continuing the strong customer orientation and contributing to the further implementation of BORG Automotive’s growth strategy.

Rune Avnsted leads the country managers in Europe as well as the customer service function and brings a wealth of experience in both sales and customer service. He spent most of his professional life at Maersk, a leading specialist in containers and logistics, where he started his traineeship in 1999 and held various international management positions over the following years, most recently as Managing Director of the Container Sales division. From 2020 to 2022, he also worked as Chief Business Developer and Head of Commerce at Grundfos, a pump manufacturer, where he was responsible for development and strategy.

Avnsted holds a Master of Business Administration from Aarhus University and a degree in Organization Theory and Communication from Copenhagen Business School. He lives with his wife and son in Ega, near Aarhus. In his new role, he will report directly to Commercial Director Ivan Mikkelsen.
