Schaeffler celebrates ‘exceptional’ Academy Live event at York College

Schaeffler Academy Live

·   111 delegates attend final event of 2022

·   Great feedback from workshops

·   Over 700 CPD hours of quality training delivered

Schaeffler’s REPXPERT team took the Academy Live roadshow to York College in November, and were greeted by an exceptional turnout of over 100 technicians eager to listen and learn to increase their product knowledge and enhance their technical skillset.

“The popularity of our REPXPERT Academy Live events never fails to amaze us,” said Schaeffler Key Accounts Manager, Andy Walters, “and York was no exception, with a fantastic turnout of professional technicians all giving overwhelmingly positive feedback.

“I said during my introduction to the delegates, that if they took away just one ‘pearl of wisdom’ from the event, then it will have been a worthwhile investment of their time, and from the conversations I had during the course of the day, many took away far more than that, which is the kind of feedback we love to hear.”

Technical Manager, Alistair Mason, echoed Andy’s comments: “Engaging with technicians about developing technologies and helping them to see the opportunities they can provide is a revelation to them and also rewarding for us. It is the essence of what makes the Academy Live format so successful, and if anyone has any doubts about that, the number of technicians taking part here in York speaks for itself!”

Andy and Alistair also paid tribute to the additional support provided by Techman, Garages Near Me, Garage Services Online, The Tool Connection (LASER) and The IMI, whose presence in the event’s workshop hub brought another dynamic and added value to the overall event experience.

“This was an exceptional day for us, giving us the opportunity to not only continue to build relationships, but also ask garage owners and technicians what vehicles and potential problems they are seeing come through their workshop doors. All of this feedback helps us to ensure our training is kept up-to-date, relevant and is providing them with the solutions they need,” Walters continued.

“The next event is planned for February 4th at New City College in Hornchurch, so we encourage workshops in the Essex area to keep their eyes peeled for the registration links to be released, and then come along on the day to get the full REPXPERT Academy Live experience!”
