Top comedian signs up to IAAF AFTERmarket party of the year

Award-winning comedian and actor, Omid Djalili, has been signed up to entertain guests at the IAAF Annual Awards Dinner’s AFTERmarket Party of the Year, being held on 8 December 2022 at DoubleTree Hilton, Milton Keynes.

Djalili has appeared in notable films including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Mummy, Gladiator, Sex and the City 2, and Notting Hill. On the small screen, Djalili has appeared on shows from Sport Relief Bake-Off, to Newsnight. He fronted his own HBO special, and was on many episodes of the sitcom Whoopi, alongside Whoopi Goldberg.

With a theme of celebrating the aftermarket, following a two-year absence due to the coronavirus pandemic, IAAF’s AFTERmarket Party of the Year will feature an evening of entertainment, bigger and better than ever before. More than 80 percent of dinner bookings and sponsorship have already been taken and the event is expected to sell out ahead of schedule.

Mark Field, IAAF Chief Executive, comments: “With more than two thirds of the tickets now sold for the dinner, momentum is truly building to the aftermarket event of the year. It’s going to be a big celebration of our brilliant sector and we’re working hard to make it a night to remember.”

In addition to Djalili performing for guests at the IAAF dinner, the Pride of the Aftermarket awards will take place and winners will be announced. The awards are back for 2022 to celebrate and honour exceptional businesses in the industry.
