With the industry set to experience a seasonal surge in September, TRW, a ZF Aftermarket brand, has issued a warning about the influx of low-quality suspension parts entering the aftermarket. As the market leader in Linkage and Suspension components, TRW is urging workshops and technicians to prioritise quality and safety, particularly as demand increases.

To highlight the importance of quality, TRW recently conducted a series of rigorous endurance tests, revealing the superior performance of its products compared to competitors.

For example, in the Tie Rod Endurance Test, TRW parts successfully passed 1,000,000 cycles without any fracture or cracking.

Similarly, TRW's control arms completed 500,000 cycles without any signs of wear or damage. In contrast, competing products failed to meet the same high standards, particularly in critical areas such as torque performance and ball stud retention.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager at ZF Aftermarket, said: "As the aftermarket braces for a busy season, it's essential that workshops remain vigilant about the parts they choose. Inferior components may appear cost-effective initially but can lead to costly and dangerous failures down the line. TRW's commitment to quality and safety ensures that our customers receive products that meet – and often exceed – the highest industry standards."
