UKS Distribution welcomes Andrew Dickinson on board 

UKS Distribution Limited (formerly known as Optimal UK Distribution Ltd), the supplier of high-quality automotive parts is thrilled to announce that Andrew Dickinson has joined the company as Business Development Manager.

Geoff Jones, UKS MD said, “Andrew and I have known each other for a long time and when he was invited to come along and visit us here at our Halesowen HQ and warehouse it didn’t take too long before we both recognised an opportunity in the making. It’s fair to say that all of us at UKS are delighted to have Andrew (and Rachael) helping us now and with his sales experience and not forgetting his buying group knowledge, it won’t be long before he’s touching base once more with old friends, factors and distributors from the aftermarket.”

Andrew Dickinson commented, “I knew at some point I would want to come back to the aftermarket after selling UAN. It’s a market I’ve always loved and was introduced to it by my father Peter who had a passion for it. My history before launching UAN was with FSG (now GroupAuto), Bendix and AP to name a few.

“UKS offers me an exciting opportunity to venture back into the aftermarket and help grow the UKS business. I instantly had a good feeling about the company and like the fact that despite its rapid growth, it is still very much a family owned and run organisation. This is something I can easily relate to and respect.

“I was pleasantly surprised and indeed impressed with the quality of OE and OE quality brands Geoff and Harry already have on board as part of the UKS portfolio. I recognise most of them such as Optimal, TRICO, DOLZ, Arnott, Metzger, Muller, AL-KO and Core. I am also confident that more respected brands will be joining our offering over the not-so-distant future.

“UKS has been built on the steady growth being achieved since its inception and I strongly believe this is the best way forward. Obvious my Buying Group experience will help our UKS offering and I am truly looking forward to meeting up with old friends during the coming months. I was in no hurry to come back but this door is the one that I was really looking for and it’s a perfect fit for me to team up with. UKS prides itself on being able to maintain the high standards in both customer service and products supplied, expected by customers across the UK and Ireland.”

Motor factors, whether independent or part of the many groups in the UK, are very much our core market and we are constantly in touch, work with them and create exciting opportunities together. We know with Andrew on board this will only accelerate and increase our awareness in the aftermarket.”
