To celebrate International Women’s Day, Women Automotive Network is hosting a global, virtual meetup, with an inspirational line-up of industry leaders, looking to encourage the industry to rally together and propel their careers and the sector to new heights.

With a global theme of ‘#InspireInclusion’, the Women Automotive Meetup: International Women’s Day Celebration on 8th March at 1pm CET and 7am ET, will play host to 250+ attendees, 100+ companies, 15+ speakers and 50+ partners.

There will be a vast array of empowering keynote speeches and engaging talks offering key steps to success from industry leaders such as Maria Uvarova, Senior Vice President, Product Management, Stellantis, who will focus on ‘Building resilience & getting comfortable with being uncomfortable,’ and Paula Zaharia, HR Manager Romania, Stabilus who will lead a discussion titled, ‘To be a strong woman is enough to play feminine!’

Informative panel discussions will also take place, including Diana Niu, Member of the Group Executive Board and VP Group People & Culture, Volvo Group, who will be sharing experiences and advice on the power of diverse and inclusive teams, alongside Maxine Hartley, DE&I Taskforce Chair, SMMT; Katrin Zimmermann, Managing Director – Americas, TLGG; and Marygracesoleil Ericson, Senior Director, Global PMO Office, Automotive, HARMAN International.

There is also the chance to have one-to-one meetings with Speed Networking sessions, providing attendees to network with other forward-thinking members.

These sessions are hugely popular – 396 of them took place at the Network’s Winter Meetup – with one member commenting: “As an introvert, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these sessions – it’s such an amazing way to connect with attendees.”

The theme of all discussions will centre on ‘inclusion’, with a member from Volkswagen Group UK Limited, highlighting the Network’s work in this area: “The Women Automotive Network supports a broad network of women at an international level, which increases our outreach for networking, learning and exchange, as well as offering us an active role in supporting the career development of women at all levels.

“We live in a diverse world. The greater the diversity in organisations brings improved cognitive thinking and decision making which drives better commercial results and a more inclusive culture.”
