Further brake calipers added to Shaftec’s collection
Birmingham-based automotive remanufacturer Shaftec Automotive has expanded its New To Range portfolio for the month of September, with 32 new brake calipers, eight new driveshafts, three steering columns, and one steering rack joining the range.
Key applications for the brake calipers include the BC11743/BC21743 for the BMW i3 Electric (2013), while key applications for the driveshafts include the ME265L/ME265R for the Mercedes-Benz GLE (2018). Key applications for the steering columns include the EC4242 for the Ford Fiesta MKV1 (2012), and finally, the new steering rack is suitable for the Vauxhall Astra Mk VII (K) (2015).
These new additions come after 16 driveshafts joined Shaftec’s New To Range portfolio in the month of July.
Shaftec Marketing Manager Adrian Kitchen said: “We are continuing to add more and more products to our New To Range portfolio. It is a priority at Shaftec that we provide the right solutions with our expanded range of brake calipers, driveshafts, steering columns and rack offering greater choices across a variety of vehicles.
“We want customers to remember that remanufactured parts often deliver performance equal to or better than new ones. Our components always meet or exceed the highest standards, meaning that you will save money without compromising on quality.”
Here are some signs that your brake calipers might need changing:
· Reduced stopping power: If you notice that your vehicle is taking longer to stop than usual
· Pulling to one side: Your brake caliper might be seized if the car pulls to one side while braking
· A sticking caliper could cause the brake pads to wear unevenly
· A stuck caliper could cause a grinding noise when braking
· And last but certainly not least, damaged caliper seals can cause the vehicle to leak brake fluid which can be dangerous
Shaftec always recommends that if drivers notice any issues with their vehicle, they seek the advice of an expert.
