HELLA’s C240 LED combination headlamp for construction vehicles, originally released last year, is now available in the aftermarket.

The new C240 LED headlamp offers high beam and low beam, while also performing the combined role of daytime running light, position light, front direction indicator and side direction indicator (cat.5). It meets all ECE and SAE requirements and is ideal for use almost anywhere in the world.

The C240 is also tough. “The housing is constructed from PBT GF30 and an aluminium element at the top,” said Dave Clark, Product Manager at HELLA, “resulting in a longer product life.” Due to its robust lens, which is made of shatterproof plastic, the headlamp is vibration and impact-resistant too.

The issue of overheating is also avoided. “This is thanks to a specially developed thermal design,” said Dave, “and the use of temperature sensors.”

A choice of light distribution is available. “The C240 LED is available in the essential series offering symmetrical light distribution,” said Dave, “as well as in the performance series, where asymmetrical light distribution is provided.”
