Mintex Racing expands MINI Challenge supportthroughout 2024
Braking specialist TMD Friction UK is amplifying its support for the Vertu Motors MINI Challenge in the 2024 season, with its premium Mintex Racing brand once again supplying the friction material for the entire field.
The MINI Challenge features two classes: the high-speed JCW category, which serves as a gateway to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), and the thrilling Cooper Trophy class, designed for newcomers and known for its intensely competitive racing.
In addition to equipping all race cars with brake pads this year, Mintex will enhance its brand presence across both the JCW and Cooper grids. All participating cars in 2024 will showcase increased Mintex branding.
Specifically, JCW championship drivers will display the Mintex logo on their number plates and front splitters, while half of the Cooper Trophy field will also feature the Mintex logo on their number plates.
Earlier this year Mintex announced three new compounds had been added to the range with the campaign ‘Achieve Legendary Braking with Mintex this year’. Mintex has revitalised both its Performance Road / Track Day and Pure Race Ranges, with exciting new products to ensure everyone stays in P1.
Antony Williams, promoter of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE said “Mintex are one of most long-standing partners that we have as a championship, and the fact that our relationship has been running for as long as it has is a testament to how strong it is”
“Particularly as we prepare to introduce a new class, the ongoing support from Mintex is hugely important for us going forwards, and we look forward to another year of fantastic racing together in 2024.”
