Test the signal from key fobs and remotes

The Laser 8653 key fob and remote-control tester (part number 8653) has been designed to allow the user to test the signal output from automotive key fobs and infra-red controllers. The tester incorporates an LCD screen so the signal can be displayed in hertz. Helps diagnose faults quickly and easily without dismantling.

Very easy to use: just switch on the tester then hold the key fob or remote control against the signal panel on the tester and press the fob button — the signal frequency is displayed on the tester’s screen.

Applications include automotive key fobs, garage door remote controls, TV and air conditioner remotes, etc. Frequency range: 10 - 1000 Mhz (confirmed by the LCD screen), plus IR signal detector. Powered by a 9V (PP3) battery (not included).
