Autowave and NAPA Racing UK agree BTCC sponsorship deal
Autowave has announced that it has partnered with NAPA Racing UK for the forthcoming British Touring Car Championship (BTCC).
Revealed at NAPA Racing UK’s official car launch at Silverstone on Thursday 6th March, Autowave’s logo will appear prominently on the team’s 2025 BTCC challenger – sitting on the door trim.
This season, NAPA Racing UK will defend its BTCC Team Championship crown, with an unchanged driver lineup of Ash Sutton, Dan Cammish, Dan Rowbottom and Sam Osborne tasked with keeping the iconic yellow and blue on the top step of the podium.
Ash will be seeking an unprecedented fifth BTCC title, while both Dan C and Dan R will be seeking their first. Sam will be hoping for regular trips to the podium and starts the BTCC season as one of the favourites for the Jack Sears Trophy, a championship dedicated to drivers that have not stood on a BTCC podium in previous years.
With an experienced driver quartet and the proven championship winning pedigree of NAPA Racing UK, Autowave is confident of a triumphant season.
Autowave’s relationship with NAPA Racing UK explained
This partnership builds on Autowave’s long-standing collaboration with Alliance Automotive Group, parent company to NAPA Auto Parts UK and Ireland.
Back in July 2024, Alliance Automotive Logistics (AAL), the distribution arm of AAG, partnered with Autowave to enable customers to receive same-day and next-day delivery on over 1,500 Autowave product lines, comprising of remotes, keys, transponder chips, remote cases, key programming devices, key cutting machines and blades.
“Proud moment”
Autowave’s Ravi Kotecha said: “Fifteen years ago, I was proud to see the Autowave logo on my van as I travelled around the country as a mobile auto electrician; fast forward to today, I am proud once more as the Autowave logo takes its pride of place on the NAPA Racing UK BTCC cars.
“It is a privilege to partner with, officially, the best team in the BTCC. Everyone at Autowave wishes the NAPA Racing UK team the very best ahead of an exciting season.”
NAPA Racing UK Commercial Marketing Manager, Robert Sherratt, said: “NAPA Racing UK is delighted to welcome Autowave as a technical partner, as we embark on our fourth season in the British Touring Car Championship.
“Ravi's team shares our passion for motorsport and understands the benefits of using the NAPA Racing platform to promote Autowave’s availability through Alliance Automotive Logistics and to the NAPA Auto Parts retail network.”
