1TEC garage concept rolls out LKQ remote diagnostic service

1TEC Auto Hub garages can now increase their in-house capabilities without having to invest in their own dedicated, manufacturer-specific equipment

1TEC Auto Hub garages can now increase their in-house capabilities without having to invest in their own dedicated, manufacturer-specific equipment, thanks to the launch of an exclusive new remote diagnostic service from LKQ Euro Car Parts.

The LKQ Remote diagnostic service provides on-demand access to a range of tooling to help garages complete more complex coding and programming jobs, that would normally have to be outsourced back to the manufacturer. 1TEC Auto Hub members that wish to take advantage of the remote service can get in touch with their Account Manager, who will support them through the process.

LKQ is also working to incorporate coding into its parts cataloguing system, enhancing its support for the aftermarket by offering parts which come with a coded solution.

The new offering comes as 1TEC Auto Hub celebrates its first year in market. With more than 275 garages signed up already, the network has set its sights on reaching over 300 members by the end of 2024, such is the appeal of its unique proposition and the roster of top aftermarket brands that back it.

LKQ Euro Car Parts launched the 1TEC Auto Hub concept network in conjunction with MPM Oil, Pagid, Schaeffler, Shell, Valeo, Varta and ZF Aftermarket – each of which brings unique perks and rewards to the table, from access to the latest technical and diagnostic data, tools, marketing and business support, access to training via  LKQ Academy, and events. Earlier this year, the inaugural 1TEC Auto Hub Connect event brought together the network’s partners and members to innovate, collaborate and share insights.

As well as the new LKQ Remote diagnostics support, Slicker Recycling has also come on board as a partner in 1TEC Auto Hub’s first year – offering sustainable workshop waste collections, drainage services and site clearance.

Louise Davies, Head of Concepts at LKQ Euro Car Parts said: “Offering our 1TEC Auto Hub members exclusive access to remote diagnostic tools through LKQ Remote Support will ensure they never have to turn away a job. Completing complex jobs that would normally have to be sent back to the manufacturer also means customers can get their vehicles back faster, helping build loyalty and repeat business.

“The 1TEC Auto Hub workshop concept was created to help the industry’s professionals navigate the everchanging automotive landscape and deliver a best-in-class service. We’re proud to have a host of award-winning members join our network over the past 12 months, including IAAF Garage of the Year winners, Shaikly Motor Company, Best Multi-Site Garage winners, CCM Garages, and Best Single-Site Garage winners, DC Lomas Limited – to name a few. Having these impressive workshops on board all helps to build the credibility of the 1TEC Auto Hub brand.

“This will only grow in importance as our network continues to grow and expand. We look forward to continuing to build out the 1TEC Auto Hub proposition together with our partners, and creating an independent workshop brand that drivers actively seek for quality repairs and unbeatable service.”
