IAAF to support garage members with online presence

IAAF and Garage Services Online

Initiative launched to support garages’ website presence and communication with motorists

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has announced an initiative to help garages access a top-performing website so they can better respond to the way motorists now search for vehicle services and repairs.

As part of its ongoing drive to add value for workshops who join its new garage membership, the IAAF has announced a partnership with leading aftermarket website provider Garage Services Online and pledged to support garages with the running of a new website for 12 months.

More than 2000 garages have recently signed up to the IAAF Garage Section membership, and the new website offer will be open to the first 100 garage members who sign-up with Garage Services Online.

IAAF garage members will soon receive a short form to fill in and their official website quotation will be sent by return.

They can also register their interest on the IAAF stand at Automechanika Birmingham event, taking place from 6 to 8 June at Birmingham NEC or via this link https://garage-services-online.co.uk/iaaf-100-website-offer/

The IAAF’s ambition to recruit garages into membership is designed to not only bring the aftermarket supply chain closer together, but to ensure greater visibility and communication between garages and motorists. To this end, it approached IAAF Service Provider member, Garage Services Online.

The aftermarket online specialist has a proven track record for creating garage websites with the ‘muscle’ to compete in an organic online search with main dealers and fast-fit organisations.

Garage Services Online provides websites on a subscription basis and the IAAF initiative will further supplement what is an already a cash-flow friendly way for garages to get online.

Mark Field, chief executive of the IAAF said: “It’s clear from the consultation into extending the MOT test, the entire aftermarket needs to come together and support businesses, particularly garages, in their communication with motorists.

“The aftermarket is a sector that meets the mobility needs of millions of UK motorists, offering choice and affordability. Supporting garages with their digital presence will only enhance that relationship.”

Jim Lang, managing director of Garage Services Online said: “As members of the IAAF ourselves, we’re passionate about the aftermarket and the issues that affect it.

“It’s great to see the IAAF championing not just the sector, but individual garages too. Their initiative with us is testament to that commitment and we’re very proud to be involved.”

As an independent trade body, IAAF fights for the rights of the aftermarket supply chain including retained access to vehicle repair information to ensure they’re on a level playing field with vehicle manufacturers.
