Motive Components, a trusted leader in aftermarket engine components, is excited to announce a major milestone in its 43-year journey. The family-owned British manufacturer has expanded its footprint in Milton Keynes, the beating heart of the UK’s automotive engineering industry, to over 100,000 square feet. This expansion, situated across from Stadium MK, marks a significant step in the company’s evolution and underscores its ongoing commitment to excellence in engineering.

Founded in Milton Keynes over four decades ago, Motive Components has always been deeply connected to the local community and its world-class engineering talent. Bill Cotton, Founder and Managing Director, reflected on the company’s growth, saying: “Milton Keynes has been our home from day one, and we’re proud to continue building on the best of British engineering.”

The new facility not only enhances Motive's operational capabilities but also creates exciting opportunities for local talent. Brett Cotton, Purchasing Director, shared the tangible benefits of this move: “With our new, larger warehouse capacity, we’re able to hold more stock, ensuring faster turnaround times for our partners from receipt to despatch. This is a game-changer for our global distributors, as it means quicker deliveries and improved service.”

Tony Hartley, Director of Operations, echoed this sentiment: “Our recent growth has been due to significant investment and a well-executed plan, and looking ahead, we knew it was time to invest further in both our people and our infrastructure. Expanding in Milton Keynes allows us to continue investing in the latest testing and engineering technologies. It's an exciting chapter for us and the community.”

In addition to their expanded home base, Motive Components celebrated a landmark achievement this year with their largest-ever exhibit at Automechanika Frankfurt—an event the company has proudly attended for three decades. Ryan Watson, Director of Sales, reflected on the event’s success: “Automechanika is a vital platform for us and this year, we pulled out all the stops, and the response has been incredible. It’s not just about presenting our products—it’s about reinforcing our position as a global leader in engine components. We’ve been able to strengthen relationships with our existing partners whilst attracting a significant number of new ones, all while shining a spotlight on what makes Motive unique.”
