WAI chief executive scoops Entrepreneur of the Year award

Entrepreneur of the Year

Ryan Moul, chief executive officer of leading rotating electrics supplier WAI, has been recognised as a winner in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for the Florida region.

The awards were launched in 1986 by professional services network EY, judging executives on their ability to build long term value, against criteria of entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, impact, and financial performance.

Accepting the award, Moul said: "I'm thrilled to accept the 2023 EY Entrepreneur of the Year award. Thanks to the judges for recognising my journey! A big shout-out to my amazing team. You all are phenomenal! To my mentors and fellow entrepreneurs, you inspire me to push boundaries and dream big.

“Family and friends, your support means the world to me. This award is a reminder to make a positive impact. Let's keep hustling and changing the game! Thanks, EY, for this incredible honour.”

Regional winners compete for national recognition in November at the Strategic Growth Forum in Palm Springs, California, where national finalists and award winners are announced.

Moul joined WAI in 2006 and following senior managerial roles was appointed CEO in 2018, working at the rotating electrics brand’s head office in Florida.

WAI supplies starter motors and alternators, clutch pulleys, wiper motors and window regulators. WAl's rotating electrics ranges includes more than 5000 part numbers in total, with a complete complementary technical support service delivering full fitting guidance with every order.

Innovation and excellence are at the core of WAl's design and engineering strategy to ensure the company only produce the best products for the aftermarket. For more information visit: https://www.waiglobal.com.
